Myanmar responsible tourism policy now published

In accordance with today`s World Tourism Day and with support of UN and UNWTO, the 'Responsible Tourism Policy for Myanmar' is being officially introduced today in Myanmar.

With support of the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism, the Myanmar Tourism Federation and the German Hanns-Seidel-Foundation nearly 350 tourism stakeholders from the private and public sectors met in May and June 2012 during 12 working sessions and one conference in five tourism destinations to discuss Myanmar's future tourism development. The Responsible Tourism Policy will serve as a platform for the Tourism Master Plan for Myanmar.
