Dear Ko Yan Naing Htun,

For my point of view, as it is in very dangerous situation, we should inform it to MTT and authorities in Mandalay shortly ( with photo attached) instead of waiting till someone or horse cut fall out of the ridge.

Your post is very helpful and thanks for your information which concern all of us.

Sincerely yours,
Thatoe

Dear Ko Thaung Naing Oo,

Thank you very much for your information. I do thank Ko Aye Min Tun for his discussion and explanation to horse cart association in Ava. There were some mistakes and inproper works in the service of Ava cart association. And it is our responsibility to correct and explain what is good and what is bad. We need to educate, co-operate and help our locals as they did not get chances like us for education.

We also need help from authority concerns to improve the safety of the horse cart riding roads or tracks in Ava because the tracks are really dangerous in some parts. It is obvious in my attached photos how dangerous it is by the river bank. Only one horse cart can drive now due to erosion by the bank and it is like driving on the ridge. My clients dare not look down the ridge. It is extremely dangerous when it is raining. The Ava Horse cart association was trying to get another lane for the next season as they did not believe that ridge-road will exist in coming season.

I think we should ask them to change the track/ road as soon as possible because any one/cart can fall out of the ridge. If it happened, it could be a very bad image for Ava tour site and our tourism. The little accident what you have mentioned can be a warning for all of us. We have reported that danger in last rainy season and I did not hear anything about that again. So, we should plan to do something for that. I do hope all guides will be willing and able to help  this together.

Yan Naing Htun (Mandalay).
