Airline Review: American Airlines

american airlines tailNorth American airlines always rank among the worst in the world. In any survey, Asian and Middle Eastern airline are always among the top 10 airlines in the world. But as an American, it's easier for me to join the frequent flier program of an American carrier because I can get a branded credit card and rack up miles. We have four major choices: American Airlines, United, Delta, and US Airways. (Continental doesn't count because it merged with United).

Out of those four, I stick with American Airlines because they have the best customer service, a good frequent flier program, and friendly staff.

The flying experience on American Airlines is a lot better than other American airlines, and their planes are nicer too. American Airlines fleet may be a bit old (all the carriers are), but they still have a nice interior and their newer model planes are really good. The AA 767-300, for example, is pretty good. It's their newer model and is a bit more spacious. The AA 767-200 is nice and it includes wi-fi. Unfortunately, like most American carriers, AA doesn't offer personal television screens in the back of the seats on any of their continental flights. (I’m not even sure they have them internationally). Qantas flights from Sydney to Perth have personal screens, as does a two-hour flight on Eva Air flight, but you can forget about personal screens on continental flights in the US. I'd be more upset about this if AA was the only airline that did this, but every major American carrier does it with the exception of Jetblue and Virgin America. Even when I get upgraded to a better class, there are still no screens. This bothers me to no end. I don’t think there’s an excuse for not having personal screens in 2010.

Televisions aside, what keeps me flying with American Airlines is the service and their loyalty program. AA's frequent flier program has better perks and rewards than its major competitor, United. You can forget about delta too, since Skyteam only has a few airline partners. While Star Alliance has more carriers, United (the major US Star Alliance partner) has an awful redemption policy. They don't offer as many perks on lower elite status levels and their upgrade policy isn't as good. Moreover, it takes more points to redeem your flights. I like American and, if the flight isn't full, I'm automatically bumped up to the next class. Plus flights can be redeemed starting at 12,500 miles.

The main reason I like American is because they have better service. I've found their ground staff to be good, and their flight attendants are more accommodating than other airlines. If I oversleep and miss a meal or they run out of something, they usually give me a left over meal or some free alternatives. Plus, they usually pour me a stiff drink when I ask. They aren't as grouchy as staff from other airlines and that makes a big difference.

But what really sealed the deal with American was an incident that happened a few weeks ago. I participated in the American Airlines challenge, which meant getting 10,000 points in three months for Platinum status. The booking code I had for my flight to Sydney should have qualified me for platinum status, but a Qantas desk agent messed up when I checked in and I didn't get my points. I accumulated regular miles, but it didn't count towards the challenge. Needless to say, I was quite upset and I called AA to complain. I also tweeted about my experience with them. A few days later, I received an email stating that they would give me platinum status because I had bought the ticket in good faith. They thanked me for my loyalty and now I have elite status on American. Last year, United broke a guy's guitar and even after the guy made a viral video of it, they barely did anything. American Airlines seems to have learned a lesson from that incident.

So while AA's planes are only slightly better than the rest and they still don't TV screens in the head rests, at least they have good staff and better service than the rest of the carriers. At the end of the day, we use companies because we not only like their products, but also their staff. It's the people that make the companies. And I like the folks at American.

A lot of people today are very conscious when it comes to health issues. We go through weight loss programs to get that six pack abs that we dreamed of or simply improve our overall health. Millions around the globe run on a regular basis to shed off the extra pounds. There are also those who join marathons and travel to destination races to conquer challenges or to help fight for a cause or charity.

Joining destination races involve a lot of planning and also some spending. Here are some useful tips you might want to try so you can stick within your budget:

Early registration

Race organizers often give discounts for those who register early. You can save some money when you sign up early and of course you are assured of a spot before the race hits the maximum number of participants. No matter how small you save, you can definitely use this extra money for your other travel expenses.

Saving does not really mean not joining the events which are most expensive. You need to weigh the pros and cons. You need to look at how fulfilling it will be when you join a certain race and finish it. In the end, it is how you enjoy these runs that matter most.

Travel smart

Research a lot when it comes to choosing your flight. You can check for the hottest deals the different carriers offer. Frequent their website to see if your destination is included in discounted offers. You can also check websites which give you a quick glance of the different options that you have and with which airline you can save most.

You can also check with the race organizer if they are in partnership with any airline or transport organization which can give you cheaper rates. Make sure you book on time since these offers are filled in quickly.

Join a local club or team

Check if you have local groups or organizations which often have provisions to cover part of your travel expenses. They may also have some fundraising and solicitation efforts to push for the campaign of their members.

Share expenses

If you know someone who is joining the same event, you can talk to them if it is possible to do a carpool and share a hotel room. Splitting the bill for these will somehow lighten the cost of the trip. Sharing the ride will also mean lesser carbon emissions.

You can find other participants through friends, local clubs, and online forums. The trip will also be a lot more fun when you travel with people having the same interests.

To bring or to rent a bike

Events like triathlons will require that you have a bike. You have to check with your airlines how much it will cost you if you will ship your bike. Most of the time it might be cheaper to ship your bicycle in advance through couriers like FedEx and UPS.  You can also ask the organizer if there will be bikes that you can rent during the race if bringing your own bike is too expensive for you.

Eat healthy

Most of the time, travelling tempts us to try out all the good dishes and go well beyond our budget. The race weekend can be the worst time to have poor judgement when it comes your diet.  Check if your accommodation will have access to a kitchenette which means you can prepare your own food. Doing this will save you a lot of money and have a better control of your diet.

It will also be helpful if you can plot on your calendar what kind of food you will take during the race weekend. Stick to your diet plan so you can veer away from impulse eating and spending.

Traveling to go to destination races even on a tight budget is possible. Travel smart and follow the tips so you can enjoy the race without burning your bank account.

In short, could we do something like a petition and submit it to someone with a sense of value for history i.e from the authority, be it Myanmar or any other national brethren?

I know some of you guys are already doing it. What else could we do? let's us brainstorm!

It is something irreplaceable.

ေရွးေဟာင္းသုေတသန ဦးစီးဌာန ညႊန္ၾကားေရးမႉးခ်ဳပ္ ဦးေက်ာ္ဦးလြင္ မေန႔က ကြင္းဆင္းစစ္ေဆးၿပီး ရထားလမ္း အူေၾကာင္းသစ္ရွာရန္ တင္ျပခဲ့ရာ ျမန္မာ့မီးရထားမွ ကန္ထ႐ိုက္ယူ ေဖာက္လုပ္ေနေသာ Steel Stone ကုမၸဏီက သေဘာမတူဘဲ ပယ္ခ်ခဲ့သည္ဟု အမည္မေဖာ္လိုသူ ေရွးေဟာင္းသုေတသန အရာရွိတဦးက ေျပာသည္။

" တင္ျပတဲ့ လမ္းဟာ ေငြေၾကးအကုန္က်မ်ားမယ့္လမ္းလုိ႔ ရထားလမ္း ေဖာက္လုပ္ေရးအရာရွိေတြက ေခ်ပတယ္" ဟု သူက ဆုိသည္။

ကုမၸဏီဘက္က ရထားလမ္းဆက္ေဖာက္ရန္ ဆံုးျဖတ္ထားၿပီး ေရွးေဟာင္းအေမြအႏွစ္မ်ား အထိအခုိက္နည္းေအာင္ လုပ္မည္ ေျပာသြားသည္ ဆိုသည္။

မင္းဘူး-အမ္း-စစ္ေတြ ရထားလမ္း ေျမာက္ဦးၿမိဳ႔ေဟာင္းကို ျဖတ္၍ ေဖာက္လုပ္ခဲ့ရာ ၿမိဳ႕ေဟာင္း အစိတ္အပိုင္းမ်ားႏွင့္ ဘုရားပုထိုးအခ်ဳိ႕ ပ်က္စီးသျဖင့္ ရခိုင္တိုင္းရင္းသားမ်ား တုိးတက္ေရးပါတီ အပါအဝင္ ေဒသခံမ်ားက ကန္႔ကြက္၍ ႏိုဝင္ဘာ ၁၈ ရက္က စီမံကိန္း ေခတၱရပ္နားခဲ့သည္။

ေက်ာက္ေတာ္-ေျမာက္ဦး လမ္းပိုင္းကုိ ယခုလ ၇ရက္ က စေဖာက္ခဲ့ရာ သဇင္တံတံတိုင္း၊ မဂၤလာမာန္ေအာင္ တံတုိင္း၊ ျခင္ကိုက္တံတုိင္း၊ ကသဲအုိင္က်ဳံး၊ စသည့္ တံတိုင္း ၁ဝ ခုႏွင့္ ဘုရားသံုးဆူ ပ်က္စီးသြားႏုိင္သည္ဟု ေဒသခံ သုေတသီတဦးက ေျပာသည္။

ရခုိင္ျပည္နယ္တြင္ ၂ဝဝ၉ ေမလ မွစ၍ ရထားလမ္း စေဖာက္ရာ စစ္ေတြ-ေရခ်မ္းျပင္ လမ္းပုိင္းႏွင့္ ကြမ္းေတာင္ -ယုိးတ႐ုတ္လမ္းပုိင္းတုိ႔ ၿပီးစီးခဲ့ၿပီျဖစ္သည္။ ေျမသားလမ္းတြင္ ေက်ာက္ေတာ္-ေျမာက္ဦး လမ္းပိုင္း ၿပီးစီးမႈ ၇၅ ရာခိုင္ႏႈန္းရွိသည္ဟု ျမန္မာ့မီးရထား တာဝန္ခံတဦးကေျပာသည္။

နယူးေဒလီ (မဇၥ်ိမ) ။      ။ ရခိုင္ျပည္နယ္ ေျမာက္ဦးၿမိဳ႕ရွိ ယဥ္ေက်းမႈ အေမြအႏွစ္မ်ား ပ်က္စီးေစသည့္ ရထားလမ္း ေဖာက္လုပ္မႈကို လက္မခံဟု ေျမာက္ဦးၿမိဳ႕ ေရွးေဟာင္းပညာရွင္ႏွင့္ ရခိုင္တုိင္းရင္းသားမ်ား တိုးတက္ေရးပါတီ RNDP က ေျပာဆိုသည္။

၁ဝ ႏွစ္ေက်ာ္ၾကာ ေဖာက္လုပ္ေနဆဲျဖစ္ေသာ ၁၅၇ မုိင္ရွည္ စစ္ေတြ-အမ္း-မင္းဘူး ရထားလမ္း စီမံကိန္းတြင္ အစိတ္အပိုင္းတခုျဖစ္သည့္ ေရွးေဟာင္းၿမိဳ႕ေတာ္ ေျမာက္ဦးၿမိဳ႕တြင္းပိုင္းကို ယခုလ ၇ ရက္ေန႔တြင္ စတင္ေဖာက္လုပ္ရာ လမ္းတေလွ်ာက္ ေရွးေဟာင္းေစတီပုထုိး ႐ုပ္လုံး႐ုပ္ၾကြမ်ား ပ်က္စီးလိ္္မ့္မည္ဟု ဆိုသည္။

ရန္ကုန္တိုင္းမ္ဂ်ာနယ္အဆိုအရ ရထားလမ္းစီမံကိန္းမွာ ၉ဝ ရာခိုင္ႏႈန္းခန္႔ ၿပီးစီးၿပီဟု သိရသည္။ ေျမာက္ဦးမွသည္ အမ္းဘက္ကို ေဖာက္လုပ္ရန္ က်န္ရွိေနသည္။

"ဘုရားပုထုိး က်ဳံးၿမိဳ႕႐ုိးတံတုိင္း စတာေတြ အမ်ားၾကီး ရွိပါတယ္။ ဒါေတြအားလုံး ပ်က္စီးသြားမွာ'' ဟု ေျမာက္ဦး ေရွးေဟာင္းသုေတသန ဌာနခဲြတြင္ ႏွစ္ေပါင္း ၂ဝ ေက်ာ္ လုပ္ကုိင္ခဲ့သည့္ ဒုတိယ ညႊန္ၾကားေရးမႉးေဟာင္း ဦးေက်ာ္ထြန္းေအာင္ (အၿငိမ္းစား) က မဇၥ်ိမကုိ ေျပာသည္။

လမ္းေဖာက္လုပ္စ လက္ရွိအခ်ိန္တြင္ ရခုိင္သမုိင္းအတြက္ တန္ဖုိးရွိသည့္ ၿမိဳ႕႐ုိးတံတုိင္း၊ ခံတပ္ အပါအဝင္ သမုိင္းဝင္ ေရွးေဟာင္း႐ုပ္ၾကြမ်ား ေစတီပုထုိးမ်ား ပ်က္စီးကာ၊ အထြဋ္အျမတ္ ကုိးေသာင္း ပုထုိးေတာ္ၾကီး ပ်က္စီးႏုိင္သည္ဟု သူက ဆိုသည္။

RNDP ဥကၠ႒ ေဒါက္တာ ေအးေမာင္ကလည္း ''သာသနိက အေဆာက္အဦးေတြကုိ ေက႔ြၿ႔ပီး သြားရမွာ။ ဒါမွ ႏွစ္ဦးႏွစ္ဖက္ အက်ဳိးရွိမွာ။ ရထားလမ္း ေဖာက္ျခင္းျဖင့္ တဖက္က သာသနိက အေဆာက္အဦးေတြ မပ်က္စီးရေအာင္၊ ရထားနဲ႔သြားတဲ့ ခရီးသည္ေတြ ဖူးေမွ်ာ္ႏုိင္ေအာင္ လမ္းေတြကုိ ေရြးခ်ယ္ဖုိ႔ လုိတယ္။ အခ်က္အလက္ေတြ စုေဆာင္းၿပီးေတာ့ ဥပေဒေဘာင္အတြင္းက အမ်ားသိေအာင္ လုပ္မယ္'' ဟု မဇၥ်ိမကို ေျပာသည္။

ယခုလ ၁၄ ရက္ေန႔တြင္ ေျမာက္ဦးၿမိဳ႕ ေရွးေဟာင္းသုေတသနဌာနခဲြ တာဝန္ခံ ဗုိလ္မႉးခ်စ္ဦးက ရထားလမ္း ေဖာက္သူမ်ားကို တားျမစ္ခဲ့သလို၊ စစ္ေတြခ႐ိုင္ ေရွးေဟာင္းသုေတသနဌာနသို႔ပါ ရပ္တန္႔ေပးရန္ စာတင္သျဖင့္ ေနာက္ရက္တြင္ စစ္ေတြမွ ဒုတိယညႊန္ၾကားေရးမႉး ဦးေစာလြင္ လာေရာက္ေဆြးေႏြးခဲ့သည္။ သို႔ေသာ္ ယမန္ေန႔တြင္မူ ဆက္လက္၍ ေဖာက္လုပ္လာျပန္သည္။

ရခုိင္ျပည္နယ္ ေနရာအႏွံ႔ ေရွးေဟာင္းအေမြအႏွစ္မ်ား ရွိေသာ္လည္း ေျမာက္ဦးၿမိဳ႕ေတာ္သည္ ရခုိင္ဘုရင္ အဆက္ဆက္ နန္းစုိက္ခဲ့ရာ ၿမိဳ႕ျဖစ္ၿပီး၊ ေရွးေဟာင္းယဥ္ေက်းမႈ အေမြအႏွစ္မ်ား မေပ်ာက္ပ်က္ေအာင္ ထိန္းသိမ္းရာ ၿမိဳ႕လည္း ျဖစ္သည္။  ေအဒီ ၁၇၈၅ ခုႏွစ္တြင္ ရခုိင့္ေနာက္ဆုံးဘုရင္ မဟာသမၼတ မင္းနန္းစုိက္ခဲ့ၿပီး၊ ရခုိင္တုိ႔၏ ေနာက္ဆုံး ယဥ္ေက်းမႈ အေမြအႏွစ္မ်ား တည္ရွိရာ ေဒသျဖစ္ေၾကာင္း ရမ္းၿဗဲ ေတာင္ေက်ာင္းဆရာေတာ္ ျပဳစုေရးသားခဲ့သည့္ ရခိုင္ရာဇဝင္ သိုက္က်မ္းမ်ားတြင္ ဆိုထားသည္။ ၿမိဳ႕ေတာ္ေဟာင္းေနရာ အက်ယ္အဝန္းမွာ ၁ဝ မုိင္ဝန္းက်င္ ရွိသည္။

ရခုိင္ျပည္နယ္ရွိ ျပတုိက္မ်ားတြင္ ေရွးေဟာင္း အေမြအႏွစ္မ်ား တစထက္တစ နည္းပါးလာသလုိ၊ လက္ရွိ ေရွးေဟာင္း သုေတသန ဌာနကလည္း စနစ္တက် မျပဳျပင္သျဖင့္ ယုိယြင္းပ်က္စီးမႈႏွင့္ ေပ်ာက္ရွမႈမ်ား ရွိေနသည္ဟု ကန္႔ကြက္သူမ်ားက ဆိုၾကသည္။

ဦးေက်ာ္ထြန္းေအာင္က ''အရင္ကဆုိရင္ လမ္းေတြဘာေတြ ေဖာက္လုပ္တဲ့အခါမွာ ေရွးေဟာင္း အေဆာက္အဦးေတြ ေတြ႔ခဲ့ရင္ ခ်က္ခ်င္းရပ္ၿပီး၊ အဲဒီေရွးေဟာင္းပစၥည္းေတြကုိ အရင္မူလအတုိင္း ျပဳျပင္ခဲ့တာေတြ ရွိတယ္။ အဲဒီေနရာမွာလည္း လမ္းဆက္မေဖာက္ေတာ့ဘူး။ အခုလမ္းေဖာက္တဲ့အခါ ေရွးေဟာင္း အေမြအႏွစ္ေတြ ေတြ႔ရင္လည္း မရပ္မနားဘဲ ဆက္ေဖာက္ဆုိတဲ့ဟာက ေတာ္ေတာ့ကုိ အ႐ုပ္ဆုိးပါတယ္'' ဟု ေျပာသည္။

၁၉၅ဝ ခုႏွစ္တြင္ ႏုိင္ငံေတာ္က ေျမာက္ဦးၿမိဳ႕၌ ေရွးေဟာင္းသုေတသန ဌာနခဲြကို စတင္ထားရွိခဲ့ျခင္း ျဖစ္သည္။

"ဘုရားေတြကို ၿဖိဳဖ်က္ေနတဲ့ ကိစၥေတြကို ရပ္တန္႔ဖို႔ ေတာင္းဆိုေနေပမယ့္ မရပ္ေပးတဲ့အျပင္ ရထားလမ္းေဘးေတြက ထိခိုက္ပ်က္စီးသြားရတဲ့ ဘုရားေတြကို လူျမင္ကြင္းက လုံး၀ေပ်ာက္သြားေအာင္ အေပ်ာက္ေဖ်ာက္ပစ္ေနပါတယ္၊ ဘုရားေစတီ တခ်ဳိ႕ကို ေျမႀကီးေတြနဲ႔ ဖုံးပစ္လိုက္ပါတယ္"ဟု ေျမာက္ဦး ေဒသခံ တဦးက ဧရာ၀တီကို ေျပာသည္။

ယင္း ရထားလမ္း ေဖာက္လုပ္မႈ ကို ႏို၀င္ဘာလ ၇ ရက္ေန႔တြင္ စတင္ခဲ့ေၾကာင္း သိရသည္။

ရထားလမ္းေဖာက္လုပ္မႈေၾကာင့္ ေရွးေဟာင္းေစတီ၊ ပုထိုး၊ တံတိုင္း၊ ခံတပ္၊ ပိဋကတ္တိုက္၊ က်ဳံး၊ ၿမိဳ႕႐ုိး စသည့္ ေရွးေဟာင္းယဥ္ေက်းမႈ အေမြအႏွစ္မ်ား ပ်က္စီးသြားရသည့္ အျပင္ ေဖာက္လုပ္မႈ လုပ္ငန္းခြင္ေၾကာင့္ အနီးပတ္၀န္းက်င္မွ ထိခိုက္ပ်က္စီး သြားရသည့္ ေစတီ ပုထိုးမ်ားကိုလည္း ေဖ်ာက္ဖ်က္ပစ္ေနေၾကာင္း သိရသည္။

"အဓိက ကေတာ့အပ်က္အစီးေတြကို မွတ္တမ္းတင္တာ၊ ဓာတ္ပုံ႐ုိက္ယူတာေတြ ျဖစ္လာမွာ စိုးရိမ္ပုံရတယ္၊ လူေတြကို မျမင္ေစခ်င္တာလည္း ပါမွာေပါ့၊ ဒီကိစၥက ထူးျခားေနတာ ေတြ႔ရတယ္"ဟု ကိုယ္တိုင္ကြင္းဆင္း ေစာင့္ၾကည့္ေနသည့္ ေဒသခံ တဦး က ရွင္းျပသည္။

ေရွးေဟာင္းယဥ္ေက်းမႈ အေမြအႏွစ္မ်ားအား ဖ်က္ဆီး၍ ရထားလမ္း ေဖာက္လုပ္မႈကို ရပ္တန္႔ေပးရန္အတြက္ ေဒသခံ ျပည္ သူ မ်ား၊ ၿမိဳ႕မိၿမိဳ႕ဘမ်ား၊ ဆရာေတာ္ သံဃာေတာ္မ်ားက သက္ဆိုင္ရာ အာဏာပိုင္မ်ားထံ ေမတၱာရပ္ခံ ေတာင္းဆိုေသာ္လည္း ရပ္တန္႔ေပးရန္ အေၾကာင္းမရွိဟု ေျပာဆိုကာ ဆက္လက္လုပ္ေဆာင္ ေနေၾကာင္း သိရသည္။

ႏို၀င္ဘာလ ၁၇ ရက္ေန႔တြင္ အထက္ပါ ပုဂၢိဳလ္မ်ားအျပင္ ႏိုင္ငံေတာ္ သံဃ၀န္ေဆာင္ ဆရာေတာ္ႀကီးမ်ားကပါ လက္မွတ္ေရးထိုး၍ ယဥ္ေက်းမႈ၀န္ႀကီးထံ ေမတၱာရပ္ခံစာ ေပးပို႔ခဲ့ၿပီး မိတၱဴအား ဗိုလ္ခ်ဳပ္မႉးႀကီး သန္းေရႊ၊ ျပည္နယ္၊ တိုင္းအဆင့္ရွိ အာဏာ ပိုင္ မ်ားထံ ေပးပို႔ခဲ့ေၾကာင္း ေဒသခံ ဆရာေတာ္တပါးက မိန္႔ၾကားသည္။

"ေရွးေဟာင္းပစၥည္းေတြကို ဖ်က္ဆီးရာ ေရာက္တဲ့အျပင္ ဘာသာ၊ သာသနာကို ဖ်က္ဆီးရာလဲ ေရာက္ပါတယ္၊ ဗုဒၶဘာသာ၀င္ေတြ ျဖစ္ၿပီး ဘုရားေစတီ ေတြကို ဖ်က္ဆီးတာဟာ ရွက္စရာလည္း ေကာင္းပါတယ္"ဟုလည္း ေဒသခံ ဆရာေတာ္က မိန္႔ သည္။

ရထားလမ္းေၾကာင့္ ပ်က္စီးသြားခဲ့သည့္ ေရွးေဟာင္း သဘင္သည္ၿမိဳ႕႐ုိး၊ သဇင္တံ ေတာင္တန္း ေပၚရွိ ေစတီပုထိုးမ်ား၊ ငေက်း အိုင္ က်ဳံး၊ ေျမာက္ဦးေခတ္ အသုံးျပဳခဲ့သည့္ မင္းသမီး ေရတံခါး၊ မဂၤလာ မာန္ေအာင္ တံတိုင္း၊ ေရႊစႀကႍ လမ္းမႀကီး၊ ရဲလွ က်ဴံး၊ ရဲလွ ခံတပ္၊ ရဲလွ တံခါး၊ ရွင္ဂိုက္ တံတိုင္း ေခၚ ေက်ာက္ၿမိဳ႕႐ုိး၊ အျမင့္ေတာင္ ခံတပ္၊ ျပည္စိုးႀကီး ဘုရား စသည္တို႔အား ေျမတူး စက္ႀကီးမ်ားျဖင့္ ၿဖိဳဖ်က္လိုက္ၿပီ ျဖစ္ေၾကာင္း ေရွ႕ေဟာင္း သုေတသန ဌာန အၿငိမ္းစား ၀န္ထမ္းတဦး က ေျပာသည္။

ေျမာက္ဦးၿမိဳ႕၏ ေရွးေဟာင္း ေစတီပုထိုးမ်ား၊ ယဥ္ေက်းမႈ အေမြအႏွစ္မ်ား အနက္ အထင္ရွားဆုံး ဘုရားတခုျဖစ္ေသာ ကိုးေသာင္း ဘုရားမွာလည္း မီးရထားလမ္းေၾကာင့္ ထိခိုက္ပ်က္စီးမႈ ျဖစ္လာမည္ကို ေဒသခံမ်ားမွာ အထူးစိုးရိမ္ေနၾကေၾကာင္း သိရသည္။ ကိုးေသာင္းဘုရားနွင့္ ရွစ္ေသာင္း ဘုရားမွာ"အေဖရွစ္ေသာင္း၊ သားကိုးေသာင္း"ဟု ထင္ရွား ေသာဘုရားမ်ား ျဖစ္သည္။

ေျမာက္ဦးၿမိဳ႕ႏွင့္ ပုဂံၿမိဳ႕တို႔သည္ ျမန္မာႏိုင္ငံ၏ ေရွးေဟာင္းယဥ္ေက်းမႈ အေမြအႏွစ္မ်ား စုေပါင္းတည္ရွိရာ ေဒသမ်ားျဖစ္ၿပီး မ်ဳိးဆက္သစ္ လူငယ္မ်ား၊ ကမာၻလွည့္ ခရီးသြားမ်ား၏ စိတ္၀င္စားမႈ ရွိေသာ ယဥ္ေက်းမႈ နယ္ေျမမ်ား ျဖစ္သည္။

သမိုင္းပညာရွင္ ပါေမာကၡေဒါက္တာ ေအးေက်ာ္ ကလည္း "အခုလုပ္ရပ္ဟာ ကုလသမဂၢက ခ်မွတ္ထားတဲ့ ေရွးေဟာင္းသုေတသန ဥပေဒကိုခ်ဳိးေဖာက္တဲ့ လုပ္ရပ္ပါ၊ ေရွးေဟာင္းအေမြအႏွစ္ဆိုတာ တန္ဖိုးျဖတ္လို႔လည္း မရသလို ေနာင္လာ ေနာက္သား ေတြအတြက္ အလြန္အေရးႀကီးတယ္၊ အစားထိုးလို႔ ရတဲ့အရာ မဟုတ္လို႔ ရပ္တန္႔ေပးဖို႔ ေမတၱာ ရပ္ခံပါတယ္"ဟု ေျပာသည္။

ကုလသမဂၢ ပညာေရး၊ သိပၸံႏွင့္ယဥ္ေက်းမႈ အဖြဲ႔ (UNESCO) မွခ်မွတ္ထားေသာ ေရွးေဟာင္း သုေတသန အက္ ဥပေဒတြင္ ေရွးေဟာင္း ပစၥည္းမ်ားအား ဖ်က္ဆီးျခင္း၊ ေျပာင္းေရႊ႕ျခင္း၊ ျပန္လည္ တည္ေဆာက္ျခင္း မလုပ္ရဟု သတ္မွတ္ထား၍ ျမန္မာစစ္အစိုးရ၏ လုပ္ရပ္သည္ ဥပေဒမဲ့ရာ ေရာက္သည္ဟု ေဒါက္တာေအးေက်ာ္က ေျပာဆိုသည္။

အင္ဒိုနီးရွားႏိုင္ငံ၌ ေရွးေဟာင္းေစတီပုထိုးမ်ားအား ဖ်က္ဆီးမႈမ်ားကို ရပ္တန္႔ေပးရန္ ေတာင္းဆိုမႈမ်ား ျပဳလုပ္ခဲ့ရာ ေအာင္ျမင္မႈ ရရွိခဲ့ေၾကာင္း ၎က ဆက္ေျပာသည္။

ျမန္မာႏိုင္ငံတြင္လည္း ပုဂံ၏ ဘုရားတခ်ဳိ႕၊ ျပည္ၿမိဳ႕မွ သေရေခတၱရာ ၿမိဳ႕ေဟာင္း တို႔ကို စစ္အစိုးရ အာဏာပိုင္မ်ားက ျပဳျပင္ ဖ်က္ဆီးရန္ လုပ္ေဆာင္ရာ ကန္႔ကြက္မႈမ်ားေၾကာင့္ ရပ္တန္႔ေပးခဲ့ရေၾကာင္း သိရသည္။

"ေျမာက္ဦးက ေရွးေဟာင္းအေမြေတြကို ဖ်က္ဆီးလိုက္တာဟာ ရခိုင္လူမ်ဳိးေတြ အတြက္သာမက ျမန္မာႏိုင္ငံသားေတြ အတြက္လည္း မေကာင္းဘူး"ဟု ေဒါက္တာ ေအးေက်ာ္ က ေျပာသည္။

ယခု စစ္အစိုးရ ေဖာက္လုပ္ေနသည့္ ရထားလမ္းသည္ စစ္ေတြ-အမ္း-မင္းဘူး ဆက္သြယ္မည့္ ရထားလမ္းပိုင္း တခုျဖစ္ၿပီး တႏိုင္ငံလုံး ခ်ိတ္ဆက္မည့္ အမ်ဳိးသား ကြန္ယက္ ရထားလမ္း၏ တစိတ္တပိုင္းျဖစ္ေၾကာင္း သိရသည္။

ရခိုင္ျပည္နယ္၌ မီးရထားလမ္းေဖာက္လုပ္မႈကို ၂၀၀၉ ခုႏွစ္တြင္ စတင္ခဲ့ၿပီး ေဖာက္လုပ္ခဲ့သည့္ ရထားလမ္းမ်ားမွာလည္း ခိုင္ခံ့မႈ မရွိ၍ မၾကာခဏ ပ်က္စီး၍ ျပဳျပင္မႈမ်ားျပဳလုပ္ခဲ့ရေၾကာင္း ေဒသခံမ်ားက ေျပာသည္။

ဂ်ပန္ႏိုင္ငံ ခန္းဒတကၠသိုလ္ ႏိုင္ငံတကာ ေလ့လာေရးဌာနမွ သမိုင္းပါေမာကၡ ေဒါက္တာ ေအးခ်မ္း ကလည္း လူ႔ယဥ္ေက်းမႈ လူ႔သမိုင္းႏွင့္ပတ္သက္သည့္ အေထာက္အထားမ်ား၊ အေမြအႏွစ္မ်ားအား တတ္ႏိုင္သမွ် ကာကြယ္ေစာင့္ထိန္းရမည့္ မူ ရွိ ေၾကာင္း၊ ျမန္မာႏိုင္ငံတြင္လည္း ေရွးေဟာင္း သုေတသန အက္ဥပေဒ သီးသန္႔ျပဌာန္းထားေၾကာင္း၊ ေရွးေဟာင္းႏွင့္ ပတ္သက္ပါက မတူးမဆြရ၊ ေဘးပတ္၀န္းက်င္ေတာင္ မထိခိုက္ရဟု ပါရွိ၍ ႀကီးေလးေသာ ဥပေဒ ျဖစ္ေနျခင္းေၾကာင့္ ယခု လုပ္ရပ္သည္ ႀကီးမားေသာဥပေဒ ခ်ဳိးေဖာက္မႈ တခုဟု ေျပာသည္။

ေရွးေဟာင္းယဥ္ေက်းမႈ နယ္ေျမ ေျမာက္ဦးရွိ ေစတီပုထိုးမ်ားအား ေအဒီ (၁၄၀၄) ခုႏွစ္တြင္ ရခိုင္ဘုရင္ မင္းေစာမြန္က တည္ခဲ့ၿပီး ေ၀သာလီေခတ္၊ ေျမာက္ဦးေခတ္ တို႔၌လည္း ထင္ရွားခဲ့ေသာ ယဥ္ေက်းမႈ နယ္ေျမျဖစ္ေၾကာင္း သိရသည္။

လြန္ခဲ့သည့္ ႏွစ္အနည္းငယ္ကလည္း စစ္အစိုးရ အာဏာပိုင္မ်ားသည္ ေျမာက္ဦးၿမိဳ႕၌ ရခိုင္ဘုရင္ နန္းစိုက္ခဲ့ရာ နန္းေတာ္ရာ အား ဖ်က္ဆီး၍ ၾကက္ဆူစိုက္ခင္းမ်ားကို အဓမၼ စိုက္ပ်ဳိးခဲ့ေသးေၾကာင္း ေဒသခံမ်ားက ေျပာသည္။

အထက္ပါကိစၥႏွင့္ ပတ္သက္၍ ေရွးေဟာင္း သုေတသန ဦးစီးဌာန ႐ုံးခ်ဳပ္သို႔ ဧရာ၀တီက ဆက္သြယ္ေမးျမန္းရာတြင္ ရထား လမ္းအား လမ္းေၾကာင္းေျပာင္းရန္ စီစဥ္ေနေၾကာင္း၊ ပ်က္စီးသည့္ ဘုရားေစတီ အေရအတြက္ကိုမႈ အတိအက်မသိ ေသးေၾကာင္း ဒုတိယ ညြန္ၾကားေရးမႉး ဦးျမင့္သိန္း က ျပန္လည္ ေျပာဆိုသည္။
