Skills/ Experience/Competencies:

• 5+ years experience developing, maintaining and administering MS SQL Server 2000/2005/2008 databases
• Support large number of servers/databases (100+)
• Support Physical/Virtualized environments
• Implement Database integrity checks and custom-tailored backup/restore/optimization procedures and maintenance plans that allow for point in time recovery.
• Implement and support technologies like SQL Server Replication, log shipping, mirroring etc where appropriate
• Troubleshoot performance, connectivity, availability issues; Identify/resolve issues like blocking, deadlocks
• Enhance debugging using tools like SQL Profiler/SQL Trace.
• Ensure database servers and indexes are maintained to provide optimal performance. Establish and co-ordinate maintenance windows as required
• Develop/Maintain/Enhance custom monitoring of database servers/processes and tune databases to ensure high availability and no failed scheduled jobs or backups.
• Support and provide technical support to the other teams
• Proficient with system development techniques and tools, database design
• Excellent communication and time management skills

5. Have worked on Formatting issues ( like highlighting of text, displaying of rows, columns, headers of the table based on condition)
6. Good in xml coding, xsl style sheet usage
7. Testing Knowledge
8. Have knowledge on the process of Deploying, Validating the report through BI Publisher using xml payload.
